Independent rooms for Ohio youth

We operate grassroots creative spaces across Ohio towns where young people direct projects, share physical workshops, and shape their neighborhoods together.

Grassroots origins

Built against empty afternoons

Traditional programs offer scheduled lectures, sterile classrooms, and supervised volunteer hours. We chose to open storefront workshops and hand over the keys, providing physical tables, screen-printing presses, and raw materials.

Every neighborhood project starts on butcher paper taped across plywood tables. Young residents decide what to build, who to invite, and how their immediate blocks are impacted.

Physical Building

Local Solidarity

Young participants set project agendas, manage shared studio supplies, and co-direct all open room hours.

Free walk-in creative space with zero screening forms, tuition fees, or institutional prerequisites.

Work centered on tangible objects including hand-printed zines, neighborhood benches, murals, and print publications.

Direct collaboration with local trade mentors, small businesses, and neighborhood residents across Ohio.

Guiding conviction

Young people do not need institutional supervision to care about their blocks. They need physical space, raw materials, and the trust to lead.
